Nonmembers may not post an advertisement.  If you are interested in joining MLTA, click here. Once you receive your welcome email, you can provide us with your job posting.

Eastern Shore Title Company is seeking a real estate or financial experienced individual to join our team as a Settlement Coordinator. We pride ourselves with innovated modern technology that allows us to conduct settlements remotely or in person. The Settlement Coordinator position is in-person and full-time with competitive compensation and benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ability to communicate with buyers, sellers, realtors and lenders to facilitate the entire transaction.
  • Manage and create real estate documents in order to complete the transfer of property.
  • Perform settlement closings either in-person or remotely.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3-5 years experience in our industry preferred.
  • Possess or seek Maryland Title Insurance license within a reasonable time frame.
  • Notary Public (possess or seek).
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient in Qualia software (preferred).
  • Spanish speaking (not required, but appealing).

Old Republic Title

Old Republic Title is seeking a full-time, on-site Title Processor at our Columbia, MD location. The Settlement Processor will provide administrative support and assistance to Title Production Manager and staff.  Responsibilities include typing of reports, entering of orders, filing, etc.  Maintain rapport with agents, office staff, and corporate management.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provides general administrative support to Production staff.
  • Entering orders and typing reports for customers.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Handle telephone inquiries from both external and internal customers.
  • Filters outside inquiries to appropriate ORT employee.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to accept supervision.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person.
  • Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor

The Settlement Processor will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks related to real estate settlements, including preparing and reviewing settlement documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and working closely with clients, lenders, and other parties to complete transactions smoothly.
